Santa & Cole. Good light, carefully edited.
Since 1985, Santa & Cole has seen itself not as a factory but as a publishing house for design: the Barcelonans “edit” luminaires – selecting, refining and nurturing designs over decades. This is how classics such as Miguel Milá’s Cesta and Cestita became timeless companions of warm, homely light.
What Santa & Cole stands for.
Santa & Cole was founded in Barcelona in 1985 and describes itself as “editors of design”: just as a publisher issues books, the house edits luminaires and objects – with patience, a careful choice of materials and respect for the authorship of the designers. The company is based on the Belloch estate near Barcelona.
At the heart of the catalogue are the designs of Miguel Milá: the Cesta and its little sister Cestita (1962) – a lantern of bent wood with an opal-white glass body – rank among the great classics of Spanish design, as do the floor lamps TMM and TMC. Younger families such as Antoni Arola’s Cirio translate the idea of candlelight into the present.
Santa & Cole stands for warm, quiet light and objects that do not age – ideal for living spaces where atmosphere matters more than effect.
Miguel Milá (1931–2024), a pioneer of Spanish industrial design, shaped the catalogue like no other: Cesta, Cestita, TMM and TMC were created back in the 1960s and are still edited by Santa & Cole today. The house also works with designers such as Antoni Arola (Cirio) and international studios.

We plan independently of any manufacturer, choose the right luminaire for each room and task – and take care of sampling and sourcing.
