Nemo. Masterpieces of light.
Founded in Milan in 1993 by Franco Cassina and Carlo Forcolini, Nemo unites contemporary lighting design with the great designs of the 20th century. With the “Masters” collection, the house brings luminaires by Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand and Vico Magistretti back into the present – meticulously edited and produced in series.
What Nemo stands for.
Nemo was founded in Milan in 1993 by Franco Cassina – together with the designer Carlo Forcolini, who shaped the brand's early years. Since 2012, Federico Palazzari has led the company and developed Nemo into one of Italy's most distinctive lighting brands: rooted in Milanese design culture, at home in projects all over the world.
The heart of the catalogue is the “Masters” collection – authorised editions of luminaires designed by masters of the 20th century: Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand, Vico Magistretti, Franco Albini and Kazuhide Takahama. Designs once created for specific buildings are carefully edited by Nemo and made available once more.
Alongside it stands a contemporary collection created with international designers – from graphic floor lamps to architectural wall and outdoor luminaires. Both are united by one ambition: to understand light as cultural heritage and as a tool of the present.
Nemo was founded by Franco Cassina and the designer Carlo Forcolini; since 2012, Federico Palazzari has been at the helm of the Milanese house.
The Masters editions gather designs by Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand, Vico Magistretti, Franco Albini and Kazuhide Takahama – complemented by contemporary works from international designers.
