Lodes. Venetian glass, rethought.
In 1950, Angelo Tosetto founded a workshop for Murano glass chandeliers in Venice – it became Studio Italia Design and, in 2020, Lodes. Today the third generation of the family leads the house, uniting Venetian glass tradition with contemporary lighting design.
What Lodes stands for.
The story of Lodes begins in 1950, when Angelo Tosetto founded a “Fabbrica di Lampadari” in Venice – a chandelier workshop in the heart of Italy's glass region, initially producing artful luminaires in Murano glass. In 1997, under Andrea Tosetto, it became Studio Italia Design; for its 70th anniversary in 2020, the house reinvented itself as Lodes.
The closeness to glass has remained: collections such as Random – a floating cloud of hand-blown spheres –, Kelly, A-Tube, Flar and Croma translate Venetian craftsmanship into a clear, contemporary formal language. Under the guiding idea of “Standard Bespoke”, the systems can be configured individually for every project.
Since 2021, the exclusive line “Diesel Living with Lodes” has complemented the range. With showrooms in Milan, Paris, Cologne, Hong Kong and New York, Lodes is now present in over 90 markets – from private homes to hospitality projects.
Three generations of the Tosetto family have shaped the house: founder Angelo Tosetto was followed by Andrea Tosetto; today Massimiliano Tosetto leads the company as General Director – a role he has held since 2013.
The collections are created in collaboration with international design studios and carried by continuous research into material and light.
