Gabriel Scott. Luminaires like large-scale jewellery.
Gabriel Scott was born in Montreal in 2012 from the vision of Scott Richler – a designer with roots in architecture and jewellery design. The studio makes sculptural luminaires and furniture by hand, treating each piece like an outsize jewel. Modular systems such as Welles make every installation one of a kind.
What Gabriel Scott stands for.
Gabriel Scott was founded in Montreal in 2012 and specialises in luxurious, handcrafted luminaires and furniture. Montreal remains the brand’s birthplace and creative foundation – every piece is made there by hand, with an uncompromising standard of material and workmanship.
The best-known collection is Welles: a modular system of faceted metal or glass bodies that can grow from a single wall object to a room-filling chandelier. Alongside it stand families such as Harlow, Luna and Briolette – most recently also with shades of cut onyx.
Because almost all models can be configured in size, glass colour and finish, Gabriel Scott is particularly suited to bespoke interior projects in which the luminaire is conceived as the jewellery of the room.
Founder and creative director Scott Richler worked as an architect, jewellery and furniture designer before bringing Gabriel Scott to life. His background in jewellery design shapes the house’s signature to this day: precision in detail, fine materials – and luminaires he himself describes as “large-scale jewelry”.
Gabriel Scott in your project.
We plan independently of any manufacturer, choose the right luminaire for each room and task – and take care of sampling and sourcing.
